Join us for the CINF Luncheon at ACS on Tuesday

Those of you attending the ACS National Meeting in Dallas are cordially invited to join us for the CINF Luncheon on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, from 12:00-1:30PM in the Katy Trail room of the Omni Dallas Hotel.  Tickets are only $15, thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Royal Society of Chemistry.  The guest speaker will be Andrew Yeung of Texas A&M, who will speak on "Chemistry in Wikipedia: A Personal Perspective.  The abstract appears at the bottom of this post.

Applications for the 2014 CINF Scholarship for Scientific Excellence

The scholarship program of the Division of Chemical Information (CINF) of the American Chemical Society (ACS) funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) is designed to reward graduate and postdoctoral students in chemical information and related sciences for scientific excellence and to foster their involvement in CINF.

Call for Papers: 248th ACS Meeting

The Fall 2014 ACS Meeting will take place in San Francisco, California, August 10 - 14, 2014. If you would like to submit an abstract for a talk, the deadline is March 10th 2014.

In this issue:

Engelbert Zass selected to receive 2014 Herman Skolnik Award

Dr. Engelbert Zass has been selected as the recipient of the American Chemical Society Division of Chemical Information’s 2014 Herman Skolnik Award.

The award recognizes outstanding contributions to and achievements in the theory and practice of chemical information science and related disciplines. The prize consists of a $3,000 honorarium and a plaque. Dr. Zass will also be invited to present an award symposium at the Fall 2014 ACS National Meeting to be held in San Francisco.
