This award is presented by the Division of Chemical Information (CINF) of the American Chemical Society (ACS) to recognize outstanding graduate and postdoctoral students working in chemical information and related sciences for scientific excellence and to foster their involvement in CINF.
Up to three awards valued at $500 each will be presented at each ACS National Meeting.
Applicants must:
be enrolled at a certified college or university;
be available to present a poster during the CINF Welcoming Reception and the Sci-Mix at a National Meeting;
have already submitted a poster abstract electronically through the ACS MAPS system before the deadline for the meeting in question;
send a 2,000-word long abstract describing the work to be presented to Bob Clark by by mid-January (for presentation at the Spring Meting of the upcoming year) or by mid-June (for presentation at the Fall Meeting of that year).

Winners will be chosen by the Division Awards Committee based on contents, presentation, and relevance of the poster, and they will be announced at the meeting. The contents shall reflect the student’s scientific work and describe research in the field of cheminformatics and related sciences. At the Sci-Mix session, winning posters will be marked as "Winner of a CINF Award for Scientific Excellence"
